    SLP Day will allow you to learn more about this in-demand career field and explore the opportunities the program at Columbia College can offer you!

    Event Description:
    SLP Day is an opportunity to learn about the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) and a career as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This three part event is designed for high school students, community college students, and adults who want to know if a career within SLP is right for them and college graduates with other majors interested in pursuing a master's degree in CSD.

    Morning session (930am-1115am)- Learn about the positive impact of SLPs, the SLP profession, and the Columbia College SLP program.
    Lunch/Campus Tours (1130am-100pm)- Prospective students and their guests are invited to enjoy lunch in the Columbia College dining hall and a guided campus tour.
    Afternoon session (100pm-400pm)- Learn about graduate programs, professional associations, technologies used by SLPs, and job opportunities during the interactive educational fair.

    While all three parts are open to anyone from the community who would like to join, we recognize that not all three parts may apply to everyone. While registering, please indicate which programs you would like to attend. Please note that if you are a student who will require a letter of excused absence to attend the event, you are required to attend from 9:30am-2:30pm.
