Event Description:
SLP Day is an opportunity to learn about the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) and a career as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This day-long event is designed for high school students, community college students, and adults who want to know if a career within SLP is right for them and college graduates with other majors interested in pursuing a master's degree in CSD.

Meet and Greet, 9:30am-10:00am

Morning session, 10:00am-11:15am - Learn about the positive impact of SLPs, the SLP profession, and the Columbia College SLP program.

Lunch and Campus Tours, 11:30am-1:00pm - Prospective students and their guests are invited to enjoy lunch in the Columbia College dining hall and a guided campus tour.

Afternoon session, 1:00pm-3:00pm - Learn about graduate programs, professional associations, technologies used by SLPs, and job opportunities during the interactive educational fair.

While all sessions are open to anyone from the community, we recognize that not all guests will want to attend all sessions. On the registration form, please indicate which sessions you plan to attend. Please note that if you are a student who will require a letter of excused absence, you are required to attend from 10:00am-2:30pm.
